I hope to buy a Ferrari soon: Sharman Joshi

Sharman Joshi talks about his Ferrari fascination.

Sharman Joshi will be seen as the solo lead for the first time in Ferrari Ki Sawari. While the film is about his journey to achieve his dreams symbolized by a Ferrari, we ask him his association with the ultimate dream machine.

Sharman admits he always fancied having a Ferrari. “I mean which man doesn’t. It’s the ultimate dream machine”. And how was it driving a Ferrari? “Oh, I must say it was magnificent”, confesses Sharman. “A novice could underestimate the sense of strength that the automobile comes with. I mean, even I was a novice and when I first drove the Ferrari on an empty road, it just galloped. It gives a sense of being airborne. It’s like the first dip you experience while on a roller-coaster. And then you don’t get to drive a car at 150-200 kms every other day. Moreover when it’s the same Ferrari that Michael Schumacher gifted to Sachin Tendulkar, it’s like the icing on the cake”.

Ask him if he had to be extra-cautious since the expensive car belonged to someone else and Sharman agrees. “We took utmost care of the vehicle. There was a towing van that used to tow the vehicle every day after the shoot to a secure parking place. The automobile never went into any wrong hands even for a second”.

His film is all set to release this Friday. Ask him when would his dreams be realized and Sharman smiles, “I hope to buy a Ferrari soon!”
